Eternal Summers

Pop power trio Eternal Summers embraces rock anthems and lush ballads.

Nicole Yun (guitar, vocals) and Daniel Cundiff (drums) founded Eternal Summers during the throes of a beach band craze. Jonathan Woods (bass) made the duo a trio in 2012, just before the Roanoke, Va.-based band released its second LP, Correct Behavior, on Kanine Records. Inspired by the atmospheric style of indie rock band Galaxie 500, Eternal Summers grounds its own dream-pop sound with gritty, punk-rock riffs.

Critics at the online music magazine Pitchfork Media and the online music guide AllMusic praised Eternal Summers’ fourth and latest album, Gold and Stone (2015). One day after the album was released, Rolling Stone named the band an “Artist You Need to Know.”
