After performing a whopping 19 Levitt concerts, Los Angeles guitar band Incendio will make their Levitt AMP debut at Midvale and Carson City playing their signature fusion of music genres. Formed in 1999 by members Jim Stubblefield (guitar), Jean-Pierre Durand (guitar, keyboard) and Liza Carbé (bass, guitar), the band served as an outlet for these veteran musicians’ experimentation with different styles of music, including classical, jazz, rock, flamenco, and even bluegrass. As a result, Incendio has been embraced for their artistry and do-it-yourself ethic, being invited to play in renowned arts venues like the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
Armed with classical guitars Incendio proves that music doesn’t need vocals to energize audiences from New York City to Beijing. Fans have been known to follow the band closely from city to city during their rigorous tours of over 150 shows per year. Incendio’s co-founders are also veteran musicians who have released solo albums of their own and produced music for television and film. The band has released nine albums to date, with their best-selling 2013 release The Shape of Dreams topping the Amazon flamenco music charts.
