Root Shock

July 10, 2017 at 6pm

Root Shock’s positive dance music layers mindful lyrics above a lively fusion of reggae, heavy drum & bass, American roots and soul. The band has been surprising and delighting crowds across the New York region and beyond, bringing their uplighting, high-energy stylespearheaded by the stunning soulful vocals and stage presence of Jessica Brownto a wide range of audiences. In 2016, fresh off the excitement of winning NYS Music’s statewide March Madness Fan Favorite Competition, the band released their self-titled debut album, which has fueled their success. Earlier this year, Root Shock was named “Best New Artist” at the Syracuse Area Music Awards.
