Sarah Shook & The Disarmers is a country band with a sneer, a bite, and no apologies. Frontwoman Sarah Shook's original songs take on complex themes including relationships gone wrong, bad decisions, and many of life’s cruel ironies.

After the break of up Shook’s previous band, Sarah Shook & The Devil, Shook and guitarist Eric Peterson joined forces with three other renowned musicians to form this explosive outlaw country band with bite and heartache to spare. Standing tall alongside musical contemporaries Sturgill Simpson and Jamey Johnson, the band recently released its debut album, Sidelong, on Bloodshot Records. Graffiti magazine gave it high praise, stating that the band “takes threads from Americana, neo-traditional country, folk, rock and roll, and fabricates a sound that's familiar enough to be accessible on a broad scale, while it manages to stay young, intriguing, even dangerous.”
