Five-time GRAMMY-nominated bassist and Frederick Native Scott Ambush returns with his signature blend of multi genre influenced Jazz: this time in a new guise…Funkelociraptor! Blending daring improvisation, funky rhythms, and driving rock sensibilities, with Funkelociraptor!, Scott reimagines familiar tunes and crafts original compositions with ingenuity, and humor. Having toured more than seventy countries with Jazz supergroup, Spyro Gyra, and having backed diverse artists ranging from Stanley Turrentine and Dizzy Gillespie to famed Bollywood composer Sandeep Chowta, Scott brings his varied experiences and influences home to to the Levitt AMP Frederick stage.

Starting at 5:30pm 

Jack Funk is a four-piece band from Frederick, Maryland that blend gritty, surrealist-style songwriting with funky improvisation. Raspy, soulful vocals, thought-provoking lyrics, psychedelic guitar leads, deep yet edgy pockets, and primal, John Bonham-esque drumming give Jack Funk an approach to rock music that gets people moving. The band is comprised of Nick Ring (vocals, guitar), Dan Gellerman (lead guitar), Adam Newcomer (bass guitar), and David Bernet (percussion).

  • No yard games are permitted in the amphitheater.
  • No alcohol
  • No alcohol is permitted at this event.

Pre-concert activities

Yogamour will be offering free yoga on the creek from 8:30-9:30 am on concert dates. There will also be a Farmer's Market on the creek from 4:30-7:30 pm on event days.


The Carroll Creek Amphitheater is located directly across the creek from C. Burr Artz Library in Carroll Creek Linear Park.  The Carroll Creek Parking Garage is the closest to the amphitheater; parking options also include street parking (free after 5 pm) and parking in the other four Downtown Frederick garages. Rain location

In the event of bad weather, a decision on whether or not to move the concert to our rain location will be made by 12 noon on the day of the concert. For concert updates, follow Downtown Frederick Partnership's facebook page. The rain location for the concert will be The Weinberg Center at 20 W Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21701.
