The powerful pop-rock duo SIRSY will have you tapping your feet to music that’s both catchy and gritty.
Founded in Albany, N.Y. in 2000, SIRSY spent several years searching for the perfect combination of performers. Eventually, the two founders—Melanie Krahmer (vocals, drums, flute and bass) and Rich Libutti (guitar, bass and backing vocals)—realized they were happiest performing as a duo. Known for their exhilarating live shows, SIRSY works with synth pads and foot-played keyboards to achieve a dynamic, full-band sound.
The band spends most of the year on the road, performing hundreds of shows and creating music for television and films (Dorian Blues, Shameless). While SIRSY’s live shows often include covers of The Beatles, Counting Crows, Johnny Cash and Prince, SIRSY has also dedicated its time in the studio to original music. SIRSY’s fifth studio album, Coming into Frame (2013), was produced by GRAMMY Award winners Paul Kolderie and Sean Slade.
