Surfer Blood

May 27, 2017 at 7pm

Renowned indie rockers Surfer Blood will headline the second annual student-produced Oasis Festival, a Santa Fe music and arts festival geared toward teens. Surfer Blood adeptly combines surf-guitar rifs with pop hooks reminiscent of everything from grungy punk to ‘60s surf rock. Touring with two bands that are obviously strong influences, the Pixies and Art Brut, the Florida-based outfit has made a name for themselves as high-energy rockers with a loyal following.

Surfer Blood’s most recent album, “Snowdonia” (2017), sees them grappling with heavy themes following the untimely death of their guitarist,  but they’ve still managed to make a critically acclaimed album that’s both insightful and hopeful.
