The Chronicles

August 29, 2016 at 7:30pm

If you enjoy funky bass lines, a playful horn section and soulful keys, The Chronicles is the band for you.

Formed in 2009, this Albany-based collective fuses jazz, funk, soul and hip hop into an irresistibly hard-grooving sound. The Chronicles features the talents of Bryan Brundige (trombone), Jeff Nania (saxophone), Nicholas Lue (keyboards, organ), Justin Henricks (guitar), Daniel Lawson (bass) and Andrae Surgick (drums).

A regular at popular regional venues and festivals such as Albany’s Riverfront Jazz Festival and the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, The Chronicles has shared the stage with the revolutionary New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the GRAMMY-nominated Cuban jazz artist Petrito Martinez, among others. The Chronicles’ most recent album, Spanning the Gap, was released in 2013.
