Belleville, Ill. quintet Old Salt Union break the boundaries of traditional bluegrass, incorporating jazz improvisation and a penchant for moving country ballads—winning both “Best Bluegrass Band” (2013) and “Best Country Band” (2014) in the Riverfront Times “Best of St. Louis” editions  They’ve brought their nuanced bluegrass style to several renowned festivals including Music City Roots, Stagecoach and Yonder Mountain String Band’s Harvest Festival, sharing the stage with the likes of Del McCoury, Sam Bush, Leftover Salmon, Greensky Bluegrass and more.

Old Salt Union cut their teeth playing hundreds of crowd-pleasing live shows since forming in 2012, and recently released the EP “Cut & Run” (2016), which showcases their flair for dramatic chord progressions, thoughtful arrangements, and the constant longing of a familiar bed and a warm home that has resonated with people across the nation.

St. Andrew's Society Celtic Dancers - 6pm


This dance group is part of the St. Andrew's Society of Central Illinois, a non-profit organization dedicated to Celtic traditions. In addition to Celtic dance, the Society also has an active bagpipe band and an ancient athletics program, and hosts general-interest Celtic events.
