Vanessa Ferguson has been singing and writing songs since childhood. As a resident of Greensboro since 1997, she’s been seen and heard performing on all of the City’s biggest stages—from the two Levitt AMP Greensboro Music Series performances in 2016 to the Carolina Theatre with Mint Condition to White Oak Amphitheater with Big Daddy Kane and Boston’s House of Jazz with her original band—Vanessa has captured the love and affection of an entire City, and she’s just beginning.
Earlier this year, the 32-year old jazz singer set out from her hometown of Greensboro, NC bound for a blind audition on NBC’s 2017 season of The Voice, and quickly landed a spot on vocal coach Alicia Keys’ team. After convincing wins in the show’s battle and knockout rounds, Vanessa has delivered powerful performances in each of The Voice’s live voting rounds, earning her the support and votes of fans across the country and a dominating top ten spot in the show’s final rounds.
